Users & Roles
Manage user accounts and control access with granular role-based permissions.
Managing Users
Go to CMS Admin > Users to manage user accounts. You can:
- Create new user accounts
- Edit user profiles and passwords
- Assign roles to users
- Activate or deactivate accounts
- View user activity history
Roles
Roles define what a user can do. Go to CMS Admin > Roles to manage roles. Default roles:
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access to everything — settings, users, themes, content |
| Editor | Can create, edit, and publish content. Cannot manage users or settings |
| Viewer | Read-only access to the admin panel |
You can create custom roles with specific permissions for your needs.
Permissions
Permissions are granular controls assigned to roles. Categories include:
- Content — View, create, edit, delete, publish entries per collection
- Media — Upload, manage, delete media files
- Themes — View, edit, activate themes
- Users — View, create, edit, delete user accounts
- Settings — Access system settings, API keys, webhooks
- Plugins — Install, manage, configure plugins
Activity Log
Every action in the CMS is logged. Go to CMS Admin > Activity Log to see who did what and when — entry edits, user changes, theme updates, and more.
